So aside from the usual Tagaytay weekend getaway trip, you might want to avoid all the crowd and traffic in Tagaytay and go this route instead.
First of all, you need to save this map and print it if you want. It's around 80% of the sights and places to go already. Mind you though, they don't really seem that close to each other and a lot of asking around will be needed to go from one place to another.
After several hours of research and all that, here's a list of places that made my cut:
- Sampaloc Lake
- Pandin Lake
- Ugu Bigyan
- Carlito's Workshop
- Cafe Sulyap
- Casa San Pablo
- Patis Tito
- Kinabuhayan Cafe and Kubli Springs
- Tsinelas Street in Liliw, Laguna

The beautiful Lake Pandin |
But since we only got 2 days (overnight trip) for us, and we're actually planning to go way up to Pagsanjan Falls, we have to cut a few from the list and here's the revised itinerary:
Day 1:
- 9am - left Manila
- 11am - Ugu Bigyan
- 12pm - Lake Pandin
- 2pm - Carlito's Workshop
- 5pm - Cafe Sulyap
- 8pm - Pagsanjan Falls
Now this could've been perfect but I wasn't able to inform Carlito that we might be late and he left already thinking that we're not dropping by anymore. Oh well.
Oh and Ugu Bigyan and Carlito's are quite near each other so you may want to do one after the other.
Day 2 simply consists of going to the falls and coming back to Manila.
If you're skipping Pagsanjan, you can either stay in Cafe Sulyap or Casa San Pablo. Another good idea is to actually get a reservation in Kinabuhayan Cafe and stay as their guest. You will also get to see the Kubli Springs, which based on my research is privately owned by them as well.
